Teresa Robinson taught Mathematics to 11-18 year olds across the ability range in the UK for 19 years. She became an Advanced Skills Teacher in Mathematics and now assesses Advanced Skills Teachers across the country. She specialised in provision for Gifted and Talented Students and has completed thorough research on the use of thinking tools as a means of challenging and extending able students.  Teresa is an Accredited Trainer of Dr. Edward de Bono’s Thinking Tools and has regularly presented with Dr. de Bono in the audience.

As an independent education consultant Teresa works passionately with schools to provide guidance and support to Teachers of Mathematics, Coordinators of Gifted and Talented Students, Heads of Departments, Senior Teachers and Advanced Skills Teachers.  She enjoys teaching in the schools that she supports and ensures that she has a thorough knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum developments.  She is a member of several School Improvement Teams and works as a consultant for Education London to raise standards and improve learner outcomes in mathematics across London schools.  Teresa trains and assesses graduate teachers and is also a trainer for ‘Blueskyeducation’, a web based tool used by teachers and senior managers for continuous professional development and performance management.
